Elkins High School Orientation
Seniors may pick up schedules and purchase parking permits on August 11 from 5:00pm-6:00pm, juniors from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and sophomores from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Freshman students and parents will have orientation on August 12 from 5:00pm-7:00pm freshman students will get schedules and have photo taken for ID cards at this time.

Artist Lisbet Okun of Elkins has a solo exhibition of her artwork in the Maxwell Gallery of the Randolph County Community Arts Center. The exhibit will run weekdays through Aug. 18.
The Maxwell Gallery at RCCAC, named to honor one of the founding board members of the RCCAC, Judge Robert E. Maxwell, serves as a solo exhibition space for RCCAC artist members. The Central WV Center for Pregnancy Care, Inc. Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 25 starting at 9am at the River bend Golf Club in Buckhannon. All proceeds will help fund the needs of families and their babies that we support in our local communities. City Kitty Snaps
Petsmart Charities & the Randolph County Humane Society have teamed up to offer “City Kitty Snaps”, a program to help spay and neuter cats for Elkins city residents who meet the income guidelines. The goal is to reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens in the Elkins area and provide a “forever” home for each and every cat.

Wayside Southern Baptist Church in Buckhannon is offering free clothing, shoes, coats and sometimes household items. Come by every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm. Everything is FREE and anyone is welcome to anything that they, their friends or their family could use. Please do not come to get things to resell in yard sales!!
